- In the nanomagnetic laboratory, we use optical measurements (Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect) to study spin waves. Spin waves are high-speed magnetic excitations on a nanometer scale, which could play an important role in the electronics of the future, as the basis of high-speed, low-power computing devices. Our group is active in the design of spin-wave-based computing devices and we can also test these devices experimentally in our laboratory.
