Pázmány University in a joint initiative of developing short-cycle education programs in the field of AI and Data Science

2023.12.27.

In response to the evolving demands of the digital age, Pázmány University is actively participating in the initiative Women in Information and Communication Technologies (WICT) alongside with four other European universities. The focus of this project is to equip prospective students, with a special emphasis on women, through short cycle programs with essential skills in Data Science (DS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Pázmány University’s Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics (Pázmány ITK) is involved in three key activities outlined in the project.

First is to conduct a thorough analysis of the specific DS/AI skill requirements at our institution, the second is a collaboration with partners to develop short cycle programs aligned with market needs, and the third one is to deliver these programs to enhance students' skills for advanced studies or careers.

During the meeting on the 15th December at Pázmány ITK members of the project discussed the courses to be offered in detail and agreed on specific roles of the partners in finalizing their content.

Pázmány ITK takes pride in contributing to this groundbreaking project, which addresses the digital skills gap and fosters the inclusion of women in STEM fields. Through our commitment to innovation and education, we are actively shaping the future of our students and the broader workforce, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital era.
