The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship (HDS) was established by the Hungarian government with the aim of offering young people of Hungarian origin the possibility to study in Hungary. Diaspora scholarship holders do not only take part in high-quality education programmes but also get a chance to improve their Hungarian language skills, find out more about their roots and strengthen their Hungarian identity.

Pázmány Péter Catholic University is one of the 30 universities accepting students through the Diaspora scholarship.

Currently, at the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics two BSc programmes, three MSc programmes and the programmes of the Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology are available under the Hungarian Diaspora scholarship:

The programme is available to members of a Hungarian diaspora living in any non-EU country (except for the Republic of Serbia and the Zakarpattia Oblast of Ukraine).
