The Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People (SCYP) was established in 2017 by the Hungarian government. The programme is open to young Christians who live in crisis regions or in countries where they face threats because of their faith.

The core mission of the scholarship programme is to make it possible for young Christians to pursue their university studies in Hungarian higher education institutions and to enable them to become catalysts of development in their home countries after completing their studies.

Pázmány Péter Catholic University is one of the 16 universities accepting students through SCYP.

Currently, at the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, three MSc programmes and the programmes of the Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology are available under the Scholarship for Christian Young People:

Application for the 2024/25 academic year is open to young Christians from Armenia, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, and Syria.
