The aim of the two-day event was to provide an opportunity for researchers working in the fields of scientific computing, simulation, data science, and artificial intelligence to meet. The participants included mathematicians, physicists, biologists, economists, and social scientists. The programme featured keynote presentations, parallel sessions on various topics, as well as poster presentations.
Attila Csikász-Nagy and János Juhász played an active role in the organization. As part of the academic program, presentations were given by our doctoral student Bendegúz Filyó, our recently graduated PhD student Bálint Siklósi, and our researchers Dávid Csercsik and János Juhász.
Dorottya Deme, our doctoral student Dániel Krizsán, and Andrei Kondakov presented posters. Andrei Kondakov won the best student poster award for his work entitled "Genomic language models for metagenomic binning: curriculum learning with ProkBERT".
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for our students and researchers to expand their professional networks and present their latest findings to the Hungarian scientific community.
