The first Erasmus BIP program of Pázmány ITK called "Multiscale modeling of biological systems" has started with 25 students, chosen from a record number of applicants.
Our program is offered to MSc and PhD students in the area of life sciences, where academia meets real-world application. From molecules in the microscopic realm to the dynamic interplay of cell communities and the complexity of tissues, our program unveils the hidden dynamics of life.
Modeling in biology is increasingly important and has become indispensable for understanding biological structures and processes. The course aims to provide insights into biological modeling at various levels, from molecules through cell communities to tissues. The course consists of an introductory online component to familiarize participants with key concepts, followed by a hands-on, one-week training onsite with four different experts. These experts will guide participants through various short modeling tasks to reinforce their understanding of the topic.
Students from the University of Bologna, Babes-Bolyai, and Oradea have already started the preparation for the project week, which will take place at Pázmány ITK, Budapest from 21 May to 25 May 2024.
