Another ITK success at the 11th CASSINI Hackathon

2026.05.13.

We are proud to share that three international students of the Faculty - Roha from Pakistan, Artur from Armenia, and Balawi from Palestine - won the national round of the 11th CASSINI Hackathon with their project, “WaterStellar”.

The team developed an innovative flood alert system leveraging satellite data and Copernicus technologies to support the rapid identification of flood risks.

Their achievement demonstrates how international collaboration, data-driven innovation, and space technologies can contribute to addressing real-world environmental challenges and improving emergency response capabilities.

Congratulations to Roha, Artur, and Balawi on this outstanding achievement! We are proud to see our students representing ITK with such impactful and forward-thinking work.
