Farewell Event for IPCVAI Students Before Their Semester in Madrid

2026.01.14.

The Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics hosted a farewell gathering for our first-year students of the Erasmus Mundus Artificial Intelligence for Image Processing and Computer Vision (IPCVAI) program at Grund Budapest.

This year’s cohort comprises 21 students from four continents and 15 different countries, selected from over 1,700 applicants. During their first semester in Budapest, the students engaged in challenging yet highly rewarding coursework and projects, building close connections with their peers from around the world. The IPCVAI program follows a structured Erasmus Mundus Master’s pathway: the first semester in Budapest, the second semester in Madrid at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the third semester in Bordeaux, and the fourth semester dedicated to professional internships anywhere in the world. This structure ensures a truly international learning experience while preparing students for advanced careers in AI and computer vision.

The joyful farewell event provided an opportunity to reflect on the first semester, celebrate academic and project milestones, and capture group photos before the students continue their studies in Madrid. Over the past months, the cohort has become a closely knit community, demonstrating the collaborative and inspiring environment that characterizes this prestigious and highly competitive program.

We wish all IPCVAI students continued success in Madrid and a rewarding, engaging, and memorable semester ahead.
