Last week, Pázmány ITK hosted their annual International Day to great success! A buffet was at the centre of the celebration, serving cuisine from all over the globe, from Colombia to Denmark to Bangladesh. Students arrived in traditional garments, holding the flags of their home countries and waving them with pride.

There were several activities throughout the day, such as puzzles and trivia. One activity involved students introducing themselves to one another in a foreign language – a great initiative for meeting new students. The Image Processing and Computer Vision (ICVP) students generously made a quiz for all students to partake in, with the winners taking home an array of prizes. This event was a great success, and we look forward to welcoming you all next year!

Pázmány ITK is proud of our thriving international community, composed of students from all over the world. This community is facilitated by the English-taught, prestigious programs conducted in our Faculty, such as the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Image Processing and Computer Vision. This competitive program enables students to study in Budapest, Madrid, and Bordeaux, while gaining extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of image processing.
There are several opportunities for international students who are interested in studying in Hungary on a full-time basis, such as the Stipendium Hungaricum, the Hungarian Government’s most prestigious higher education scholarship program. This scholarship offers a wide range of courses for high-achieving international students with an excellent academic track record. Pázmány Péter Catholic University is one of the 28 universities accepting students through the Stipendium Hungaricum program.

Our international community also includes Erasmus+ students from our selection of partner universities all across Europe. Pázmány ITK has an active Erasmus+ program with various types of student and staff mobility, both inbound and outbound. We offer a traineeship under the Erasmus+ program in our international office, where individuals can gain valuable insights into the world of international relations and marketing. Budapest, Hungary’s capital city, offers a platter of possibilities for young students — from an enthralling nightlife scene to an array of historical sights.
Our ITK mentors are the backbone of our international community. A mix of Hungarian and international students, the ITK mentors support international students during their studies in Hungary. Mentors also assist in the organizing of social events for students, such as board game evenings and organizing our International Day!
