2026.08.03.

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships and exploring new opportunities for academic collaboration, the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics of Pázmány Péter Catholic University welcomed official delegations from the AAB College and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of the University for Business and Technology (UBT) in Kosovo.

Each institution was represented by a three-member delegation. The visit aimed to deepen institutional ties, lay the foundations for future educational and research cooperation, and provide the guests with an insight into the Faculty's internationally recognized research activities.

Strategic Discussions on International Cooperation

In recent years, Kosovo's higher education sector has become increasingly integrated into the European Higher Education and Research Area. Its universities actively participate in the Erasmus+ program, while the development of digital skills and information technology has become a national strategic priority. These developments provide an excellent basis for expanding international academic and research partnerships.

The delegations were welcomed by staff members of the Faculty's International Relations Office and by Dr István Reguly, Vice Dean for International Affairs. During the meeting, the participants exchanged information on their institutions' academic profiles and educational structures, and discussed opportunities for student and staff mobility, particularly within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The discussions also explored potential directions for future joint research initiatives and broader academic networking.

Exploring the Faculty's Research Infrastructure

As part of the program, the visitors took part in a guided tour of the Faculty's research laboratories, where they gained first-hand insight into the research and development activities carried out at the Faculty. The tour showcased research at the intersection of information technology and bionics, highlighting several of the Faculty's flagship scientific projects and state-of-the-art research facilities.

Members of the Kosovan delegations expressed appreciation for the Faculty's practice-oriented research environment and its close integration of education, innovation, and applied research.

The visit marked an important first step in establishing professional dialogue between Pázmány Péter Catholic University, AAB College and UBT, creating a solid foundation for future academic and research collaboration.
