The event was officially opened by Dr László Szegedi, Vice-Rector for Education, followed by a welcome address from Dean Dr Gábor Kovács. For our Faculty, it was a particular joy to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our student Réka Szűcs, who secured third place in the amateur women’s 70 kg category. We are extremely proud of her accomplishment.

The full-day event was marked by spectacular action, closely contested bouts, and inspiring sportsmanship, leaving a lasting impression on both the competitors and the cheering audience.
In Réka’s own words: "I had a fantastic time at the Hungarian University and College Judo Championship. It was exciting to test my skills under competition conditions. Naturally, after six matches I was tired, but it felt great to take a break from writing my thesis for a day and face a completely different set of challenges. What matters most to me is the sportsmanship inherent in judo, and once again I experienced that opponents are never enemies: everyone treated each other fairly and with friendliness."
We warmly congratulate Réka on her achievement.
