On November 29, the Ludovika Arena of the National University of Public Service was buzzing with excitement as this year’s Judo MEFOB (Hungarian University and College Judo Championship) took place. A total of 385 students from 19 universities participated. After the weigh-in, they immediately began preparing for the day’s thrilling matches.

This year, the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics (ITK) marked The Celebration of Science series with a major conference showcasing past, present, and future achievements in science and innovation.

The closing ceremony of the 37th National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (OTDK) once again celebrated scientific excellence and the nurturing of young talent. One of its highlights was the presentation of the Master Teacher Gold Medals, awarded to lecturers and researchers who have, over many years, provided exceptional guidance and support for student research and have served as inspiring mentors.

On 13 November, the Sport Bionics & Data Intelligence Laboratory at Pázmány ITK welcomed distinguished professional guests: ZEPU, a globally recognized developer of medical rehabilitation robots, and their Hungarian distribution partner, Fototronic Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that the “Top 50 – Women in Artificial Intelligence” award, presented by the Scientific Association for Infocommunications Hungary (HTE), has been awarded again this year.

At the end of October, the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics welcomed a distinguished guest: Dr. Borbála (Bori) Hunyadi, an alumna of our MSc programme who graduated in 2009 and has since built a prestigious international academic career in Belgium, the Netherlands, and currently at Maastricht University, where she serves as Associate Professor.
