The course covers the following topics: 1.Linear and time
invariant systems: a.) Introduction, modelling;
b. ) Definitions and laws;
c.) Circuit elements.
2. Analysing linear and time invariant networks: a.) Circuit laws, network
theorems, nonlinear networks; b. ) Natural response
first and second order systems, impedance concepts; c.) Forced response, AC
circuit analysis; d.) Complete response;
e.) Steady-state AC
circuits. 3. Analysis in frequency domain:
a.) Fourier series and
Fourier transformation. 4. Analysis in complex frequency domain:
a.) Laplace transformation.
5. Nonlinear circuit elements: a.) Semiconductor diodes;
b.) Bipolar transistors;
c.) Field-effect transistors.
Scheduled as a block course for the fourth module (3 weeks) of the preparatory semester of full-time international students.
