The general purpose of the
Professional Practice for the students is to gain basic knowledge about the
practical tasks related to their program and to get familiar with the
organizational and professional structure of a company or research institute,
while preparing themselves in real circumstances for their future engineering
position. The improvement of the problem solving ability, the ability to work
in teams, the ability for independent work and foreign language(s) practice
will be in great focus during the Professional Practice.
320 and 240 hour long Professional Practice is required for undergraduate and graduate students respectively. The students solve problems that are specified by the supervisors from the research institute or the company and approved by the Faculty. The tasks are preferably can be related to the student’s Thesis Work, the student’s work for the Scientific Students’ Associations Conference or the student’s Tutored Research Project.
