The class intends to provide an introduction to Hungarian culture with the help of short field trips to important sites and institutions in the Budapest metropolitan area. The sites' significance in Hungarian history ranges from Antiquity to modern times (19th century). Using these trips, students will be able to relate easier to important phases of Hungarian history and their cultural importance, as well as they will be provided guided tours around Budapest so that they can get acquainted easily with the city where they will need to spend at least two more years.
